I have mixed feelings about the clip'
On the one hand he was deluded and mislead by the effectiveness of his martial art, on the other anyone who goes into the arena should be respected, also I hate to see somebody that badly hurt.
Best solution would be to make sure that the deluded don't make it to the cage and find out the hard way.
If the clip stops Tradional Martial artists from going in there totally unprepared for the truth it will have done some good.

Seen it loads of times and could watch it over and over again. He is a grown man and should know what he is getting in to and the risks involved. Just compounds my opinion of tkd as a realistic "fighting" art. My opinion that's all.

This looks like a clip from a bygone era where single discipline stuff was enough to get you in the ring. TKD has a lot to offer in flexibility, balance, poise & posture and speed of striking but it is not enough to compete at MMA in and by itself....but nothing else is. I did TKD for a while but I'm not exactly a prime example. I'm sure James Mair did too....in fact I'm certain he did for a while.
Also, Pyjama man is giving away 30 pounds to his opposite man. MMA is full of entertainment but mismatches aren't where the entertainment is. That is my logical/intellectual argument.
On the other hand, he's a big boy.......fvck him.

"on the other hand,he's a big boy......f**k him!", my sentiments exactly. Although i think tkd is excellent for flexibilty and will help your all round kicking ability i fail to see how it translates at all to fighting another human being in reality. It's so far removed from what happens and what's needed i don't get it.
As a sport and for reasons outlined above with regards flexibility yeah but as a stand alone fight system.............
